The People’s Committee of Dak Lak province recently held a meeting on preparation for the fourth version of the Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival to be organised from March 9 to 12, 2013 in Buon Ma Thuot City. The festival contains many interesting programmes and activities, with specialised exhibitions on the coffee industry and Vietnamese branded products, street festival and coffee tours. The expenditure for the festival is estimated at VND25 billion (US$2.15 million), of which some VND8 billion will come from the provincial budget, VND5 billion from the central budget and VND12 billion from other sources.

 

Lu Ngoc Cu, Chairman of Dak Lak People's Committee, told the Steering Board and the Organising Board to carefully select the overarching theme and contents of the festival and associated programmes and activities, and to mobilise the funds from various sources, particularly local businesses.
