Shinhan Life Vietnam Supports Preventing Covid-19

Accompanying with the Vietnamese people in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, in September 2021, Shinhan Life Vietnam Insurance Limited Company (Shinhan Life Vietnam) donated VND 150,000,000 for the Pandemic Prevention Support Fund of University Medical Center HCMC (UMCH). This donation is to support the hospital's equipment and medical equipment in the fight against Covid-19.

At the end of August 2021, the UMCH has put into operation the 250-bed COVID-19 Intensive Care Center, located at City International Hospital to receive and treat critically ill COVID-19 patients.

Also on this Mid-Autumn occasion, Shinhan Life presented more than 50 boxes of mooncakes to doctors and medical staff working at the UMCH as a gift of spiritual encouragement to the white shirt soldiers who are under a lot of pressure in the context of the pandemic progressing extremely complicated every day.

Previously, at the beginning of June 2021, Shinhan Life has contributed VND 500,000,000 to the Covid-19 Vaccine Fund managed by the Ministry of Finance. This is an activity that shows the company's community responsibility, making efforts to contribute to the Government of Vietnam in socializing the funding for buying Covid-19 vaccines, joining hands with the community to repel the pandemic.

Mr. Lee Euichul, General Director of Shinhan Life Vietnam shared: “This is a difficult time for all of us. Although Shinhan Life Vietnam has not officially operated our business yet, and resources are still limited, we look forward to joining hands with the community to fight the epidemic and bring life back to a new normal soon. All Shinhan Life staff are trying our best to complete the preparation work towards providing the best products and services to Vietnamese customers in the coming time.”

Shinhan Life Vietnam Insurance Limited Company entered Vietnam insurance market from February 2021, headquartered in HCMC, operates in the field of life insurance, health insurance and financial investment. With initial charter capital of VND 2,320 billion, 100% contributed by parent company Shinhan Life Insurance Corporation, Shinhan Life Vietnam is expected to commence its business in 2022 after the preparation period for operation.
