Ninh Thuan is a central coastal province with a natural area of 3,360 square kilometres, a population of 550,000 people and 27 ethnic groups, the Kinh or Viet are the largest with 78 per cent of the population, the Cham with 12 per cent and the Raglay with 9 per cent.
Ninh Thuan is favourably located for economic and cultural exchange with regional provinces, lying on National Road 1A, North-South Railway, National Road 27 linking to Da Lat City and Phan Rang - Thap Cham Town. The province is 350 km from Ho Chi Minh City, 110 km from Da Lat City, 100 km from Nha Trang City, 45 km from Cam Ranh Airport and 30 km from Ba Ngoi Port.
