A conference to discuss cooperation between Hanoi, Hai Phong and Quang Ninh to develop tourism was organized on December 28, 2007 in Hai Phong, with the participation of central and local officials and 60 enterprises.
During the conference, many delegates said the economic and tourism triangle of Hanoi, Hai Phong and Quang Ninh has played an important role in the success of Vietnam tourism. These localities should co-operate closely to develop and promote new tourism products with attractive and competitive prices; create strategies to develop tourism in both the short- and long-term; and concentrate on tourism human resources training.
The close cooperation of Hanoi, Hai Phong and Quang Ninh will be a driving force for the tourism development of the whole Northern area. After the conference, an agreement to develop tourism from 2008 to 2010 was signed by the three cities.
