Seminar on Competitiveness Index Opens in Dak Lak

The governing People’s Committee of Dak Lak province has coordinated with the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the Agriculture Competitiveness Project (ACP) to organise a seminar on provincial competitiveness index (PCI) of Dak Lak province in 2010.
 
According to the report on provincial competitiveness index (PCI) in 2010 carried out and released by the VCCI, Dak Lak province ranked 38th out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide. The VCCI said the province saw marked progress in transparency, time cost, unofficial cost, dynamism and legal institution.
 
Mr Nguyen Dien, Deputy Director of VCCI - Da Nang Branch, shared successful experiences of Da Nang City and other localities in improving PCI.
 
Addressing at the seminar, Mr Tran Hieu, Vice Chairman of Dak Lak People’s Committee, said the 15th Party Congress of the province in 2010 determined to build the province into the centre of the Central Highlands; thus, the heightening of PCI ranking is an important and decisive task.
