Da Nang Pushes for Tourism Revenue Rise

The central city of Da Nang will focus on developing three major tourism activities in an effort to lure up to 4 million guests in 2015.  This was said in Da Nang city’s new Tourism Development Program in 2011-2015.  
 
Accordingly, Da Nang will develop local tourism tours embarking the themes of marine exploration, convalescence and ecology; culture, history, landscapes, craft villages; and MICE.
 
Of the set target, the locality hopes to welcome 1 million foreign visitors and 3 million domestic guests.
 
It looks to earn VND 3,420 billion in revenues in 2015, and increase the number of guests to around 18% annually.
 
In particular, Da Nang will prepare to implement the planning of Son Tra peninsular, Ngu Hanh Son cultural park, and Van village, invest more in diversifying tourism products, boost market promotion programs, advertise tourism activities, and improve personnel quality. 
 
The locality plans to put aside VND 3,190 billion in the five-year period to implement the program.
