PTSC Quang Ngai Reaching out Broad Sea

In the past 15 years of construction and development, the company has made constant investment for complete and large-scale infrastructure works like 8-ha factories and warehouses in Dung Quat Economic Zone, furnished with modern equipment and machinery connected with Wharf No. 1 of Dung Quat Port to form the oil and gas base to serve fabrication, manufacturing and maintenance of oil and gas machinery and equipment.

 

Apart from workshop investment, PTSC Quang Ngai also focuses on international quality management standards like environmental protection and occupational safety to meet high requirements of oil and gas investors in Quang Ngai. To date, PTSC Quang Ngai has obtained many international standard certifications like the ISO9001:2008 Quality Management System Certificate, the ISO14001:2004 Environmental Management System Certificate, and the 0HSAS 8001:2007 Occupational Health Safety Management Certificate. With above favourable conditions, PTSC Quang Ngai has successfully carried out many big projects in Dung Quat Economic Zone like the US$10 million forwarding project for customs procedure clearance and equipment and supply transportation for the Dung Quat oil refinery project, the US$6.6 million project for supply of rock for mud treatment in Dung Quat breakwater dyke; the US$5 million ME8/B5 project for fabrication and installation of pipelines for the Dung Quat oil refinery; the US$3 million project for geological survey test-drill for the Dung Quat oil refinery; and the US$2.7 million project for dyke and manhole protection.

 

Specifically, PTSC Quang Ngai has successfully implemented some major projects in the role as EPC contractor, like the US$40 million project for supplement of two crude oil tanks and sucking pipes for the oil refinery. This was the first complex package to be manufactured and built by a Vietnamese contractor and the company completed it five months ahead of schedule. PTSC Quang Ngai also built the US$100 million Dung Quat bio-ethanol production plant with an annual output of 100 million litres of ethanol made from cassava. The project was completed after 18 months of construction.

 

Besides, apart from being an oil and gas engineering contractor, PTSC Quang Ngai is also the leading supplier of seaport services in Dung Quat Economic Zone. PTSC Quang Ngai is also the owner of Wharf 1, Dung Quat Port with an annual handling capacity of more than 1 million tonnes. PTSC is a pioneering supplier of logistics services like door-to-door forwarding and delivery services as well as the supplier of customs clearance and ship agent services for any customers.

 

Moreover, PTSC has a tug boat fleet with a combined capacity of 10,000 HP, furnished with advanced equipment systems, to provide towing services for most cargo ships operating in ports in Dung Quat Economic Zone. The fleet also participates in maintenance and repair of offshore projects in Dung Quat Economic Zone and adjacent areas, takes part in rescue and oil spill response to assure property and man safety for domestic and foreign ship owners.

 

Defining that personnel is the key, PTSC Quang Ngai always focuses on personnel training, especially on-site and in-house training for managers and engineers working directly with foreign experts to learn from their experience and management expertise. So far, PTSC Quang Ngai has 1,000 skilled workers and more than 250 experienced engineers with a high command of foreign languages to undertake any EPC projects.

 

With the above achievements, PTSC Quang Ngai was honoured with many titles, awards and certificates from national and local governments like the Third-class Labour Order, the Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Finance, and the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam), PTSC Corporation, and Quang Ngai province. The company was twice named the “Typical enterprise of Quang Ngai province” in 2008 and 2010.
