However, Tay Do Cement Joint Stock Company (Tay Do Cement) is one of those companies that have overcome economic difficulties, challenges and critical competition in the market to consistently affirm their trademark and develop sustainably. Vietnam Business Forum interviewed Mr Ngo Thanh Lam, Public Relations Director of Tay Do Cement, around some activities of the company. Huong Giang reports.
There are many trademarks in the Vietnamese cement market, so what makes Tay Do Cement different from the others?
Tay Do Cement is one of the top trademarks of the Mekong River Delta, and its particular differences are:
Firstly, Tay Do Cement is a highly qualified business of Southern people, having supply capacity of 900 tonnes in many product types like: PCB30, PCB40, utility cement PCB40, civil cement PCB30 and industrial cement PCB50. Tay Do Cement’s production standard is 16-1:2011(TCVN 6260-2009), and its products are suitable with tropical conditions, enhancing erosion prevention in aluminised water, cement flexibility and are easily pumped for construction.
Secondly, Tay Do Cement is the cement production and supply unit with high quality sand, filtered and washed standard stones, and the biggest concrete mixing plant of Cuu Long River Delta with capacity of 240 cubic meters per hour.
Thirdly, Tay Do Cement is the first Southern Cement unit with environment management certified ISO 14001. And it is also the first of applying and maintaining international standards in business, such as: Product quality management system ISO 9001; environment management system ISO 14001; laboratory management system ISO/IEC 17025; occupational safety and health management system OHSAS 18001; and social liability management system SA 8000.
Fourthly, Tay Do Cement is the first with a commitment to a warranty on the quality of its products. Tay Do Cement is the trademark of high quality and sustainability, which is constructed basically on the principle of quality.
In the current economic hardship and increasingly intense competition, what solutions has Tay Do Cement carried out?
In 2013, material construction companies face many difficulties from economic turmoil and high inventories. Input costs have increased, interest rates are high, monetary tightening policy continues to be effective. The real estate market is frozen, many construction projects have been postponed and are waiting for opportunities or financial resources.
However, thanks to the recent advantage of the trademark, the application of five international ISO management systems in business, and enhancing service, the product consumption of Tay Do Cement still meets the set target.
Furthermore, the company also applies fast payment, actively provides, maintains and diversifies material supply sources, keeps its production process consistent and ensures enough product for customers.
Along with efficiency in business, Tay Do Cement is also a company participating in social activities in the region. In the coming time, how will these activities be conducted?
Tay Do Cement has built and applied the occupational safety and health management system with standard of OHSAS 18001 and the social liability management system with standard of SA 8000.
