According to many experts, 2013 was a year of strong growth in online educational games, typically the "Chinh Phuc Vu Mon" (CPVM) game of the Online Educational Game Joint Stock Company (JSC). It is evident that there are great positive support of students, teachers, parents, education professionals, agencies and society in general for this type of game. Vietnam Business Forum interviewed Mr Nguyen Ngoc Thuy, General Director of Online Educational Game JSC, the initiator of these types of online educational games in Vietnam. Ha Thu reports.
Online educational games are not so new to Vietnam, but when the CPVM product of the Egame products was launched on the market, online educational games gained a new level of welcome and appreciation from the authorities, parents and students across the country. What factors have created the attraction of the CPVM product?
We have put all our determination and resources into producing our CPVM product, an online 3D educational game, which is purely Vietnamese and designed and produced by the Vietnamese team. All of the graphics and content of the CPVM as well as the knowledge source integrated in the game are developed based on the standards of the Ministry of Education and Training and testified by the University of Education. The knowledge, which is integrated from grade 1 to 12 and designed based on easy to difficult levels, is very useful for learners. According to many students, parents and teachers, the CPVM has brought players a true entertainment world of relaxation and valued experiences, which is built based on a 3D fantasy world with full of colour and vibrant arenas combined with impressive sound and effects. More importantly, this virtual world is really healthy and good for learning and psycho-physiological development of children.
This product aims to not only entertain, but also help the students accumulate knowledge in the most natural way as well as build up a qualified learning and recreation space. Therefore, recently the CPVM has officially been awarded as one of the "Top 100 best products and services for families and children in 2013" by the Labour and Social News of the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, in collaboration with the Journal of Family and Children to honour and encourage enterprises who have created the best products and services for families and children. The product also has been honoured in many prestigious events.
In December 2013, the Egame successfully organised the "Innovative Ideas for Online Educational Games" writing contest, could you please share with us about the results as well as the significance of this contest?
Seven months after launching the contest, we received positive support from teachers, parents as well as the enthusiastic participation of the students. It is worth noting that there are a total of over 150,000 creative articles, ideas, suggestions, which come from 63 provinces across the country. In particular, among the submitted ideas, there are 50 ideas fully developed as a completed product.

In mid December, 2013, the Egame in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the National Committee Young of Vietnam celebrated and awarded the "Innovative Ideas for Online Educational {1}Games" writing contest. The special guests of the ceremony include Mr Le Kha Phieu, Former General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam; Ms Ha Thi Khiet, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Chief of the Central Committee for People Campaigning; Mr Nguyen Dac Vinh, Alternate member of the CPV Central Committee and the First Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; and other leaders and representatives of Ministries and central agencies. The ceremony was broadcast live on television of the People's Public Security.

It could be said that this is one of the most typical and meaningful activities of the Egame in 2013 for students across the country, creating opportunities for the students to prove their creativity, passion, and aspirations through ideas and submitted projects. The ideas are no longer on papers but they will be realized and put into practice because those come from the true desires and creativity of the students.
To improve the reputation of the company, what strategies will the Egame adopt in the coming time?
Following the successes, the company will organise the training conferences to introduce the CPVM to more provinces in Vietnam including Hanoi, Yen Bai, Vinh Phuc, Vung Tau, and Da Nang; besides, we will launch the CPVM contest in the North, the Central and the South. In particularly, we plan to extend the contest to some cities like Hai Phong, Quang Ninh and other provinces, as well as develop the CPVM model across the country in 2014.
