The Vietnam - Japan Human Resources Cooperation Centre (VJCC) was established after the official signing of agreement between the governments of Vietnam and Japan and began operations in 2002 in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
VJCC’s goals are to train high-quality human resources to buttress the development of the market economy and international integration in Vietnam, and, through Japanese educational activities and cultural exchanges, to boost the mutual understanding of the two countries. The centre’s main activities are to train mid-level and high-level managers for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) by organising short-term, medium-term and long-term business courses. At the same time, the centre also provides consultancy for Vietnamese enterprises to enhance competitiveness in transitional process towards market economy and integration into the world economy. To impart secrets of Japanese-styled production management spirit and business running, VJCC organises training courses on business, personal advisory and corporate advisory. For business executives, VJCC has endeavoured to train problem-finding skills in order to improve their performance capability and observing capability as well as strategic thinking and judgement capabilities. Besides, VJCC places emphasis on training young human resources to serve industrial development of Vietnam with the "Keieijuku" course - an advanced business course. And, nearly 6,000 trainees enrolled this course in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
Remarkably, VJCC started opening training courses for senior executives (KEIEIJUKU) since 2009, especially those from manufacturing companies. A course lasts 10 months, with one week of studying a month, divided into nine semesters, including seven semesters in Hanoi and two semesters in Ho Chi Minh City. After the course, excellent trainees will be awarded two-week internships in Japan and direct visits with Japanese companies to see how their knowledge learned is applied to Japanese firms and they will listen to sharing from Japanese business leaders. This is the difference between VJCC and other centres. So far, five Keieijuku courses have been successfully organised and highly appreciated by the Vietnamese business community. This year, the fifth course was held not only for 20 entrepreneurs in the country but also for teachers of the University of Foreign Trade (FTU) and staff members of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI). This helps strengthen relations among enterprises, schools and the government. Speakers and trainers of this course are professionals with more than 30 years experience in business governance and operation in Japanese companies in the Japanese market as well as in the world market.
In addition to training and retraining human resources for enterprises, the centre also organises Japanese language courses at elementary, intermediate and advanced levels for those who love Japanese and want to use Japanese for their work or overseas study. Furthermore, VJCC has been actively promoting Vietnam - Japan cultural exchanges and overseas study activities, use these as a premise for bolstering economic and cultural cooperation relations between the two countries.
With its achievements, VJCC has tried its best to become a trusted personnel training centre, made effective contributions to the development of the Vietnamese business community and economy, and broadened mutual understanding between the two countries in all fields.
