A feminine beauty, a soft-spoken voice, a sociable way of speaking, plus extensive knowledge, activeness emanating from the face and a bright smile are the very first impression that the reporter of Vietnam Business Forum found during a talk with French Vietnamese Anoa Dussol Perran, President and CEO of AN HOA RESIDENCE Luxury Villas. Van Luong reports.

What are the typical features of AN HOA RESIDENCE Luxury Villas and what differentiates it from others?
AN HOA RESIDENCE Luxury Villas are the “wellbeing home” - a totally new concept of accommodation business in Vietnam. This is the harmonious combination of deluxe villa models administered and operated as 4-star or 5-star hotels. Each villa has its own distinct style and is built in a spacious and airy space. Each villa is decorated with unique interior colours and different themes. An individual villa area ranges from 250 square metres to 900 square metres, has 2-7 rooms, private swimming pool, sauna - Jacuzzi, sea-view terrace, spacious garden with outdoor BBQ grill, etc., along full furnishings for a very comfortable home-like feeling for tourists.

Lodgers will enjoy the services of a luxury hotel without making any effort to preserve and maintain their beach homes. They will feel very comfortable in a cosy atmosphere for their families to enjoy in the contemporary era.

What are the important factors behind the current success of AN HOA RESIDENCE?
AN HOA RESIDENCE is a very attractive tourism product because it combines two elements: Luxury and simplicity, and antiquity and modernity, all in combination creates distinctly traditional beauty. Our motto is “Care to quality rather than quantity.”

We have proved the unique values of AN HOA RESIDENCE Luxury Villas: Service quality and new business concept. Our prices are very reasonable and corresponding to real values placed in the price - quality relationship.

Our customers are pleased because we satisfy their needs for enjoyment. Our company’s point of view is “We cannot cheat at our products. Professional operation, attentive customer care and attentiveness and respect to customer comments are the key to success. In 2013, AN HOA RESIDENCE was named the Top 10 Impressive Cultural Destinations by UNESCO Vietnam.

Being a successful entrepreneur in France, what motivated you to make investment and do long-term business in Vietnam?
I was always proud of my Vietnamese origin when I lived in France. I went to France in 1961 at the age of four. During my 35-year residence there, I always looked to the homeland where I was born. And, I decided to return to Vietnam on an extraordinary journey on June 1, 1993. I flew my helicopter from Paris (Porte de Versailles) through 22 countries with 41 landings to refuel. I landed in Hanoi on June 21, 1993.

Making this flight, I just wanted to demonstrate that it is possible to operate helicopters in aviation tourism in the framework of modernising the development of the tourism industry in particular and of Vietnam in general. And in 1993, VASCO launched its first civil aviation services.

Also, the reason why I chose to invest in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province was the favourable traffic conditions. It only takes two hours to reach Ho Chi Minh City. In case of emergency, I can easily return to Ho Chi Minh City, where I have all advanced services and transport.

Reportedly, you plan to build the “Vietnam Home” in Chateau Challonges in Nantes City, France. Would you mind telling us more about this intention?
Personally, I think tourism and culture must be always combined together, inseparably. Thus, in AN HOA RESIDENCE Luxury Villas, I have created a unique space of Vietnamese Cultural House model whose structure is designed as a miniature museum for showcasing Vietnamese traditional cultural values where tourists can see, explore and understand Vietnamese history, arts and customs. This is a plus point to the value of the Villas Complex. It facilitates cultural exchanges between all countries in the world. This is an effective means to advertise and promote tourism and culture of Vietnam.

I very much want to honour the history and cultural heritage of Vietnam and enthuse about its customs. Hence, I expect to bring a traditional Vietnamese house to France to build the “Vietnam Home” there to display and introduce the unique architecture of Vietnamese ancient houses and cultural products like painting and tea to the world. This will also be the rendezvous for Vietnam - France cultural exchanges and the bridge to connect Vietnam with the overseas Vietnamese community in France. Specially, the Vietnam Home will be an active advertiser for the development of Vietnam’s tourism in general and of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province in particular, and a place to introduce Vietnam’s hidden charm to Frenchmen. Travel companies can visit, share, connect and exchange with the Vietnam Home. Given the fine traditional cooperation between France and Vietnam, Vietnam is always the first choice for French tourists and for the international community as a whole.
