Ministry: Vietnam Jan-May Exports to U.S. Reaches US$4.39 Bln

Vietnam&rsquos total goods shipment value to the United States (U.S.) reportedly hit  US$4.39 billion in the first five months of this year, said the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
 
The country reaped  US$994.31 million from exports to the U.S. in May, the ministry said on its website without giving comparative figures.
 
Garments and textiles took the lead with  US$1.91 billion, followed by crude oil with  US$420.46 million, footwear with  US$408.69 million, woodwork products with  US$402.63 million, seafood with  US$210.66 million, coffee with  US$108.99 million and computers, electronics and spare parts with  US$105 million.
 
The ministry did not revealed Vietnam&rsquos import sping during the period.
 
Two-way trade between Vietnam and the U.S. is expected to surpass  US$15 billion this year, as compared with  US$12.444 billion in 2007. (Vinanet)
