Vietnam City Proposed to Halt New IPs, Golf Courses

Vietnam's biggest city-Ho Chi Minh City-is proposed to halt licensing new IPs and golf courses projects or expand existing IPs, instead focus on hi-end technology, the state-run Youth newspaper said, citing the municipal Budget and Economics Committee
 
The committee also recommended that golf courses projects which are licensed but not yet implemented should be stopped and turned into green parks, the newspaper said.
 
Thirty industrial production complexes on an area of 1,900 hectares which are too small and adjacent to residential areas, the committee said.
 
In Jan-Sept, the city attracted US$8 billion, rising six folds compared with 2007's figures. (Youth)
