The information is released on the occasion of Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung's ongoing visit to Vientiane for the Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam development triangle summit.
Dung and his entourage arrived in Laos Nov 25 to start the visit.
Lao Prime Minister Bouasone Bouphavanh welcomed Vietnamese counterpart and said that Laos create favirwelcomes Vietnamese firms to invest into, and wants to learn experience lessons in managing economy and curbing inflation.
Dung and Bouasone Bouphavanh agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation in hydropower, mining, transportation, growing cash plants and developing border-shared economic zones.
Two PMs also witnessed signing of copper exploitation project, a memorandum of understanding on construction hydropower plant between Song Da Corporation and Laotian firm, granting a license to exploit barite ores in Laos to DMC Corp under PetroVietnam.
Vietnam has invested into 141 projects with the registered capital of US$750 billion in Laos, taking the second place.
Between Jan and Sept, bilateral trade reached US$350 million, and is expected to hit US$450 million this year, up from US$310 million last year. (chinhphu.vn, The People)
