Vietnam’s Mekong delta provinces are forecast to ship abroad more than US$5 billion of goods this year, up 24 per cent on year, the Saigon Liberation-run Financial Investment Report said.
Provinces in the Mekong delta, a biggest rice bow of Vietnam, export mainly cuttle -fish, frozen fish and shrimp, rice…to Asian markets and Africa, the newspaper said.

Meanwhile, the export market shares in the U.S. and EU remain small, analysts said.

The Mekong delta’s exports growth is rapid, but unsustainable and vulnerable to prices fluctuations on the global market, the analysts added. (Securities Investment)
