Vietnam Gemstones, Precious Metals Exports +321.49 per cent to US$742.2 Mln in Jan-November

Vietnam reportedly shipped US$742.2 million worth of gemstones and precious metals in the first eleven months this year, representing a sharp on year rise of 321.49 per cent, according to Vietnam’s General Customs Department.
 
In November, Vietnam exported $21 million of gemstones and precious metals, down 18.1 per cent on month, and down 12.46 per cent on year, the department said.
 
Vietnam has 50 companies operating in gemstones and precious metals, 16 of which posted exports revenues of more than $100 million, and 7 had revenue of over $500,000, the department said.
 
The Vietnamese firms’ exports markets include Switzerland and Australia.
 
They exported $271.3 million gemstones and precious metals to Switzerland, up 3,659.7 per cent on year, and $181.6 million to Australia, up 1,203.03 per cent, the department said. (Vietnam Economic Times)
