Vietnam to Invest US$174 M to Build Nine Hospitals by 2015
Vietnam will invest VND2.954 trillion (US$174 million) to build nine hospitals in four cities and provinces from now up to 2015.
The money will be used to construct six hospitals in Vinh Phuc, one in Ho Chi Minh, Lam Dong and Danang each.
The hospitals are expected to satisfy increasing treatment demand of its large population of 86.5 million people, health officials said.
Vietnam now has 1,087 hospitals with a total of 140,000 beds. (Local sources)
