Central Highlands Investment Forum to Open Next Month
The Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Central Highlands Steering Board and the People’s Committee of Dak Lak province will jointly hold the Central Highlands Investment Forum next month, following the Prime Minister’s approval.
The event, which will take place in Buon Ma Thuot city, is expected to attract the participation of many local and foreign investors.
The forum will provide the participants with information about the region’s investment environment and particular projects of priority.
The Central Highlands region has a great hydropower development potential, which could produce one-third of Vietnam’s electricity.
The region accounts for up to 98.2 per cent of Vietnam’s 5.4 billion ton bauxite reserve. It is also the biggest coffee growing area in Vietnam, with a total cultivation area of 470,000 hectares. (Saigon Liberation, Youth)
