Vietnam, Spain Should Boost Infrastructures, Telecoms, Energy, Edu Ties: PM
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung said the future cooperation between Vietnam and Spain should focus on fields of infrastructures, telecommunications, energy and education.
The Vietnamese leader made the statement while receiving outgoing Spanish Ambassador to Vietnam Maria de la Soledad Fuentes Gomez on Jul 10, the government said on its website on the same day.
Dung said he is glad to see the fine development in the two nations’ relations, which are reflected through the consecutive exchange of delegations and visits as well as the significant increase in two-way trade.
Two-way trade reached EUR1.079 billion (US$1.5 billion) last year, a three-fold increase since 2004.
Dung also noted that foreign direct investment of US$6.8 million by Spain in Vietnam doest not reflect full potentials for cooperation between the two countries.
Ambassador Maria de la Soledad Fuentes Gomez has been just presented with the Friendship Order for her great contributions to the two countries’ relations during her term in Vietnam. (Chinhphu.vn)
