Brazil to Inspect Vietnamese Seafood Firms
A delegation of the Brazil’s Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food Supply (MAPA) will inspect Vietnamese seafood companies eligible to export to Brazil from Nov 29 to Dec 10, 2009.
The ministry wants to ensure that the companies meet their requirements on food safety and hygiene, the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP) said.
Six companies will be inspected, including Van Duc Food Export JSC, Dai Thanh Co, Ltd, Viet An JSC, Can Tho Seafood Im-export JSC, Southern Fisheries Industry Co. Ltd and Basa JSC.
VASEP said a workshop on exporting seafood to Brazil will open in Mekong Delta Can Tho city Dec 5.
Brazil Mar 12, 2009 allowed 60 Vietnamese seafood companies to export to this country. (Vasep)
