Vietnam-EU Trade Drops 29.79% to US$14.8B Last Year

Trade between Vietnam and the EU dropped 29.79% from a year earlier to US$14.8 billion in 2009, according to the General Statistics Office.
 
Vietnam fetched US$9.3 billion from exported goods to the EU, falling 14.4% on-year and spent US$5.5 billion on imports, rising 2.2% on-year, the GSO added.
 
The Southeast Asian country reported a trade surplus of US$3.8 billion in 2009, up from US$3.72 billion in 2008. (GSO)
