Metro Cash & Carry to Build Wholesale Center in Southern Vietnam

Metro Cash & Carry Vietnam has proposed authorities of Ba Ria Vung Tau province in southern Vietnam help it to find an suitable area of three hectares to build a wholesale center in Vung Tau City.
 
Under the company’s development plan, it will build four more wholesale centers in four provinces, including Ba Ria Vung Tau during the 2010-2011 period.
 
On Jan. 20, Metro Cash & Carry inked an agreement with authorities of Binh Dinh province to build a wholesale center in the province, the 12th of its kind in Vietnam.
 
Germany’s Metro Cash & Carry, one of the world’s leading players in self-service wholesale, opened business in Vietnam in 2002 and has been operating a chain of nine wholesale centers, including three in Ho Chi Minh City, two in Hanoi, and one each in Haiphong City, Danang City, Can Tho City and Dong Nai province.
