60 Vietnam Seafood Firms Attend EU Seafood Expo

More than 60 seafood processing and exporting companies are attending at the EU’s biggest seafood expo in Brussels, Belgium from Apr 27 to 29.

 

Nguyen Huu Dung, vice chairman of the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP) said the association facilitated local firms’ efforts to offer international standard-products and would strive to keep, or raise the products’ prices on the world market.

 

The annual event is the biggest of its kind where the world’s biggest seafood producers, processors and exporters gather to set up prices for the whole year, adding more firms obtaining the GlobalGAP certificate is the best way to protect and improve the prestige of Vietnamese seafood products.

 

Dung said Vietnam is the second largest delegation to the expo after Spain, showcasing products on a site of 508 square meters.

 

The Brussels expo attracted more than 1,600 firms from 144 countries worldwide. It is a good chance for the businesses to seek partners and new deals. (VNA)
