Vietnam Exporters Association to Make Debut in HCM City in June
The Ho Chi Minh City Investment and Trade Promotion Center (ITPC) plans to launch Vietnam Exporters Association (VEXA) on June 10, aiming to father boost the city’s exports.
The association, to be addressed at No. 92-96 Nguyen Hue Street of District 1, is aimed to help local exporters to improve their competitiveness and boost exports through its trade promotion programs.
The VEXA expects to raise its total member to 400 in late 2010 and 600 in 2011 from the current 100.
Businesses, especially small-and medium-sized enterprises in the city, producing exports will be eligible to the association’s membership.
Exports of Ho Chi Minh City fell 14.8% from a year earlier to $5.85 billion in the first four months of this year. (Liberated Saigon)
