Over the years, Irrigation One Member Co., Ltd of Ninh Thuan has always successfully completed their tasks in the field of management and exploitation of the irrigation system in the province. It has provided water serving production and people’s life, contributing greatly to local socio-economic development. Along with efficient business activities, the company is always taking care of its employees. In response, the workers consider the Company their second home, a place to put their trust and full devotion.
In 2012, despite many challenges, thanks to timely direction of the local leaders and the determination of all its staff , the company has completed the assigned tasks with the irrigated area of 64,586 hectares, 101 percent higher than planned. Total revenue reached VND53,553 million, exceeding 114 percent compared to plan. Profit reached VND4,780 million, 176 percent beyond the plan. It contributed VND1,618 million to the state budget, 194 percent higher than planned.
During the year, the impact of the financial and economic crisis caused commodity prices to fluctuate and made employee’s lives difficult. However, the company tried its utmost to create enough jobs for its workers. Life of the employees is relatively stable with average monthly income of VND6.3 million. Besides, the company has fully covered policies such as social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance. In addition, the company regularly organizes medical check-ups for all employees and has set up welfare-funds as regulated.
In addition, each year, the leaders also coordinate with the the company’s Trade Union Organization to hold direct dialogues with employees throughout the company to promptly remove obstacles. The company listens to the employees and fully implements democracy. On the basis of their opinions, the company adjusts and supplements the labour policies to ensure benefits for the employees. Annually, the company organizes tours for the employees to enhance working spirit.
With the motto of “drinking the water, thinking of the source”, all the employees are actively involved in a full range of social activities to support the poor, with the total amount of support of more than VND127 million. The company also strictly observes national security policy, fire safety, occupational safety, stabilizes the order of agencies from the company to stations and clusters, and closely collaborates with local government to ensure the safety of company assets.
The Company also implements the resolutions and directives of the Central, Provincial Party Committee, the Board of Directors of the company, in collaboration with Trade Union Organization, the Women's Union, Youth Union to take care of life of employees. They also work out social policies for the employees, regularly organize cultural movement, arts, sports and other activities, which increasingly improve the quality of life for workers.
