Pharmacist Hoang Thi Binh: Valuable Flower of Vietnam Pharmaceutical Industry

She said Ypharco was formerly Hoang Lien Son Pharmaceutical Enterprise and went public in December 2002. Knowing that if it only did commercial business and did not perform production, it would be passive in competing with other rivals, Ypharco officially started construction on a VND30 billion (US$1.4 million) manufacturing plant meeting GMP-WHO good manufacturing practice principles and standards in August 2008. The facility went into operation in May 2010. In early 2011, the Ministry of Health granted the GMP - GSP - GLP - WHO Certificate to the company after a deep assessment inspection. The effective operation of the plant marked an important milestone of Ypharco and made the company the first in 14 northwest provinces to follow the new development direction.

To improve production and business activities, Ypharco has applied the GMP - WHO quality management system, WHO GMP/GLP/GSP standards, and ISO 9001:2008 standards.
