The German Embassy in Hanoi and Dai Viet Brewery Company signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on production of a special beer in commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Germany diplomatic ties (1975-2015).
This special beer, brewed by Dai Viet Brewery, will be launched onto the market in early 2015 so as to make the celebration more widely known in the country. Mr Hans-Jörg Brunner, Deputy Ambassador and Economic Counsellor at the German Embassy, said “I am very happy that Dai Viet Brewery will make the special beer for the anniversary. Germany and Vietnam are enhancing their connectivity in many areas through their close exchanges. Culinary culture, including the culture of drinking beer, is one of the cultural features of Vietnamese and German people.
According to the MoU, Dai Viet Brewery Company is responsible for the production of the anniversary beer in the form of bottle or can. This one is a special edition of Dai Viet Beer with the Dai Viet brand and the official symbol of the anniversary. The reasons for the German Embassy in Hanoi to choose Dai Viet Brewery to make the anniversary beer is because it imports most of the raw materials and machines for beer brewing from Germany. The production process is supervised by experienced German specialists in brewery to ensure the standards of Germany. Moreover, the special beer is brewed following the longstanding tradition of Germany’s Beer Law issued from 1516, which has made the German beer top of the world in quality so far.
