“Youth present at wherever is most needed and most difficult.” Responding to such a call, tens of thousands of young girls of 20 years old joined the youth volunteers. They went to war-devastated regions to rebuild the country with great valour and devotion.
40 years after the renovation of the country, a female volunteer still continues with ardour and becomes the leader of a company producing hi-tech equipment – Ms Luong Thi Xuan.

In 1976, as a member of Group 4 in Pham Van Hai and Le Minh Xuan farms, Ms Luong Thi Xuan and her friends started building farms in water-logged wasteland, moving always on small boats. Hardship has developed their ability.

With renovation policy in the 1980s, she started business activities by importing and distributing consumers’ goods such as cloth, foodstuff, motorbikes DH88, Citi100 and cars Besta, Topic, Hyundai, Kia (South Korea), tractors, excavator and bulldozer. She also founded Ngo Khuong factory (after the name of her teacher Ngo Gia Khuong) producing rattan furniture for big importers from North America and Singapore such as Unicane, Sifrina, exporting wood-based products Saw Timber to EU via Thailand.

In 1991, Gia Khuong Co., Ltd was established, starting to supply equipment for industry and oil and gas sector. For a woman, business is never easy, especially in technology and machinery. Accepting risk and being confident in business, Gia Khuong ensures distribution to big customers such as Minh Long Porcelain 1, Cuong Phat Ceramics and others companies in Dong Nai with high efficiency in production. To Ms Xuan, successful business is her true value and happiness. Her will and energy can be started from her earlier years of volunteer, braving all hardships and challenges.

Most recently, on January 16, 2016, in a nationwide gala, Gia Khuong was honoured as an exemplary company for contribution to the community and economic development. The glory is no doubt due to the value and devotion of Ms Xuan, ensuring the success story of Gia Khuong over a quarter century.

Presently, Gia Khuong is the exclusive distributor of LPG to Blackmer Pump (113 years old of the US), Pumps, Seal of Flowserve, Regal (US), Automation Valve BAF (the Netherlands), etc, famous trademarks widely used in Vietnam and the world. In June 2015, during a study tour on aviation and business opportunity in Vietnam, the Director General of Kraf Thaus Group – a famous group in aviation with head office in London, appointed Luong Thi Xuan as Director for Asia Pacific and Vietnam. Presently, she is focusing on developing aviation, especially human resources most needed for Vietnam. She also represents businesses producing high quality interior parts for Boeing and Airbus.

Besides unceasing efforts to improve business activities, she also pays special attention to contributing to social welfare. During 25 years of business activities, whenever having time she returns to Chau Long Tu Pagoda in Minh Dam Mountain, Long Hai, Ba Ria – Vung Tau. She believes: “Meditating at a pagoda, one seeks tranquillity, recalling what one has done, and upon returning one will do more for the community”. Due to that sentiment, knowing the poverty of the pagoda and population, she herself and called on others to donate money to help pagoda and poor students. She also wishes that Gia Khuong will engage in joint venture with foreign partners for hi-tech transfer, increasing the competitiveness of products made in Vietnam, her ardent desire.

As years pass, the vigour of the former volunteer continues burning for business and family.
