Hai Van Nam Lighting up APEC 2017

Hai Van Nam Co., Ltd recently completed the transportation, installation and oil filtering of 40MVA transformers and accessories at the 110kV Ngu Hanh Son Transformer Station. This is an important link for Da Nang Power Co., Ltd (EVNCPC PC Da Nang) to switch on and put into operation the transformer station on schedule. This will help ensure stable and safe power supply for the Asia - Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit 2017 in Da Nang City.

With more than 15 years’ experience of transporting and supplying electrical materials and equipment, Hai Van Nam Co., Ltd has established a traditional cooperative relationship and an important partnership with power units in the Central Coast - the Central Highlands and the whole country as well.

Along with the development of the power industry, Hai Van Nam has actively contributed to expanding and upgrading the power source and grid; and improving the capacity of transmission, distribution and supply of quality power. The company has taken part in many projects and highly appreciated for its capacity and competence in transporting and supplying electrical equipment and materials. For instance, the firm supplied equipment for upgrading of 110kV Van Hoa transformer station; compression transformers to 110kV Tan Mai - Kon Tum transformer station; equipment and control panels to 110kV Dong Hoi transformer station, 110kV Quy Nhon 2 transformer station and 110kV EaHleo transformer station; 500kV transformers to National Power Transmission Corporation; equipment to 110kV transformer stations in the Central Coast and the Central Highlands. Thus, Hai Van Nam has left its marks on almost all electricity works constructed and upgraded. The firm has, therefore, actively contributed to the development of Vietnam's power source system and grid.

With its powerful capacity, maturity and seniority, Hai Van Nam has gradually gained business prestige and secured a strong foothold on the market, especially its close cooperation with the Central Power Corporation (EVNCPC), the Southern Power Corporation (EVNSPC) and companies across the nation. Hence, in the 110kV Ngu Hanh Son transformer station project, Hai Van Nam Co., Ltd was selected by PC Da Nang to be a partner.

Notably, the company supplied all seven 110kV Siemens-branded circuit breakers and accessories for 500kV Da Nang transformer station, 220kV Hoa Khanh transformer station and 220kV Hue transformer station.

After six months of construction, on July 31, 2017, PC Da Nang successfully commissioned and put into operation the 110 kV Ngu Hanh Son transformer station. In addition to the important task of ensuring the optimal power supply for the APEC 2017, this project will help enhance the reliability and supply of electricity to other substations in southern Ngu Hanh Son district, including seaside resorts, FPT residences, The Empire Residences and Resort, Da Nang University Village and neighbouring residential areas. This transformer station also brings in practical operating benefits, reduces power losses on the system, and meets socioeconomic development, national security and defence, and people’s livelihoods in Ngu Hanh Son district in particular and Da Nang City in general.
