At the headquarters of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), VCCI Vice President Nguyen Quang Vinh received the Charge d'Affaires of the Libyan Embassy Alsudik S S Ali.

Speaking at the meeting, the Libyan Chargé d'Affaires said that the two countries have had a very good relationship over the years. Trade is one of the important areas of cooperation. Libya has imported many products from Vietnam, however, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, trade exchange between the two countries has been reduced. Alsudik S S Ali hoped that the two sides would work together to promote the bilateral relationship.

Mr. Nguyen Quang Vinh said that the two sides need to promote the relationship between the two countries, not only diplomacy but also trade and investment.

He suggested, immediately, it is necessary to support businesses to find out information and be able to export Vietnamese goods to Libya and import goods and materials from Libya.

Alsudik S S Ali hoped that VCCI would support Vietnamese enterprises to solve difficulties and challenges, and further increase exports to Libya. "Libya is a potential market for Africa, this will be a favorable location for Vietnamese goods to be exported to Europe," Chargé d'Affaires Libya emphasized.

Chargé d'Affaires Libya also added that Vietnam had a very large number of laborers working in Libya. However, due to the war, Vietnamese enterprises stopped sending workers to Libya. The Libyan Chargé d'Affaires hoped that, in the near future, when the Libyan situation improves in terms of security and social stability, Vietnamese labor export companies will consider bringing Vietnamese workers back to Libya.
