Generali Vietnam Life Insurance LLC, in collaboration with the National Fund for Vietnamese Children (NFVC) and Dien Bien Provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, has officially launched a new kitchen and held the Mid-Autumn Festival for children at Xa Dung B village, Ban Mai kindergarten, Xa Dung commune, Dien Bien Dong district, Dien Bien province. This project is part of Generali Vietnam’s community initiatives to support Vietnamese children and bring a better life to them.

Funding of the project comes from Generali Vietnam’s annual fundraising program organized at the beginning of 2023. With a view to raising funds for the building of a kitchen and other auxiliary facilities for 81 disadvantaged children in Dien Bien, the campaign has received tremendous support and participation from Generali’s staff and agents, as well as their friends, families, and the wider community.
Over VND 250 million from the donation has been transferred to NFVC to build a new kitchen, fully-equipped kitchen utensils, a covered dining area, and a new water tank for children in the remote Xa Dung B village, Ban Mai kindergarten. This is home to 81 children of Thai and Hmong ethnic groups, with a temporary kitchen and simple and poor meals. Teachers and students dream of having full and nutritious meals for children and a new water tank to store clean water to ensure hygiene when cooking. With the partnership between Generali Vietnam and the NFVC, the "Bếp ấm cho em" program is implemented with the hope of contributing to bringing more delicious, cleaner, and better quality meals to children here.

Alongside the building of kitchens for children, Generali Vietnam has also implemented other meaningful activities, such as granting 10,000 meals to children at Ban Mai kindergarten, Dien Bien. Generali Vietnam's staff and agents have actively participated in "Góp chút quà nhỏ, Mở niềm vui to” to donate books and toys for children.
During the launch ceremony of "Bếp ấm cho em" at Ban Mai kindergarten, volunteers prepared a full lunch and held the Mid-Autumn Festival for children with many attractive activities such as magic, games, lion dance, moon cake eating, etc. With the gifts from Generali Vietnam, we hope children can enjoy a warm and fulfilling Mid-Autumn Festival.

In September 2023, Generali Vietnam also started the construction of the Dong Dong branch school of Son Ca kindergarten in Mo O Commune, Dkrong District, Quang Tri Province. This is another passionate project in Generali Vietnam's journey of extending love to children.
The project uses fundraising from Generali Vietnam's “Sức khỏe trao Mình – Trường mới trao Em” campaign within the framework of The Human Safety Net's Global Challenge 2023. Since its launch in June 2023, this community initiative has raised nearly VND 527 million, of which VND 500 million was sent to NFVC to build and renovate the schools for disadvantaged children of the Bru Van Kieu ethnic minority in Dong Dong branch school, Mo O Commune, Quang Tri.

Dong Dong Hamlet used to be economically disadvantaged. Every day, 72 children ranging in age from 24-36 months old to five years old attend classes under less-than-ideal conditions due to a shortage of classrooms. Teachers and students have to share classrooms, often move between indoors and outdoors, sometimes study in a temporary storage room on rainy days, and study in a covered yard on sunny days. With funding from Generali Vietnam, the construction of classrooms and auxiliary items for children at Dong Duong branch school and Son Ca kindergarten will be implemented, helping to overcome difficulties and inadequacies in organizing learning and recreational activities for teachers and children.
This is the third key project for children, for which Generali Vietnam, in collaboration with NFVC, has conducted fundraising and construction since 2022.
Mr. Dinh Tien Hai, Director of the NFVC, remarked: “With the fund's mission of serving as a compassionate bridge that brings donors to children in difficult circumstances, we are pleased to be able to have such essential construction projects sponsored by Generali Vietnam quickly accomplished and put into operation to support the needy children across the country. Hopefully, Generali Vietnam and NFVC will continue to enhance this partnership to promote the care, protection, and education of Vietnamese children.”
The representative of Generali Vietnam said that Generali Vietnam's strategic community agenda has always been developed on the foundation of the practicality of the project, the sustainability, the positive impacts, the engagement of the staff, agents, and the broader community at large, as well as the innovation and effectiveness of project execution. The extensive reach and enthusiastic support of the "Bếp Ấm cho em" program is a strong testament to the values that Generali Vietnam pursues on the journey of trying to become a “Lifetime Partner” to millions of Vietnamese families.”
In recognition of the company’s proactive and sustainable contribution to the Vietnamese children’s comprehensive development, Generali has been awarded the prestigious “Saigon Times CSR” certification for 3 consecutive years 2020 - 2022. Generali Vietnam also received organizational and individual commendations from the Minister of Labor – Invalids and Social Affairs, recognizing outstanding contributions to Vietnamese children’s well-being and protection consecutively in 2020 and 2021.
