With the advantage of its location and a well-synchronized technical infrastructure system, Song Mai-Nghia Trung Industrial Park (Bac Ninh) is steadily completing the necessary conditions to welcome a new wave of investment, particularly high-tech, high value-added projects. To gain further insight, we interviewed Tran Thi Dang Tam, General Director of Hanoi-Bac Giang Industrial Park Infrastructure Investment Joint Stock Company.

Could you share how Song Mai-Nghia Trung Industrial Park will specifically contribute to attracting new investment projects and enhancing the industrial production capacity of Bac Ninh province in the coming period?

Song Mai-Nghia Trung Industrial Park is not only an infrastructure project but is also expected to become a new “magnet” for high-quality investment flows. With its favorable location near major transport routes, the project can directly connect with key economic centers, thereby strengthening its competitiveness in attracting investment.

In terms of infrastructure, a synchronized, modern technical system combined with a substantial clean land bank provides a strong foundation for both FDI and DDI enterprises to optimize costs and shorten project implementation timelines.

The project is also oriented toward developing a diverse production ecosystem, focusing on high-tech industries, electronics, and precision engineering, thereby promoting linkages within the global value chain.

In addition, once operational, the industrial park will create thousands of jobs, contributing to the development of the local workforce and providing sustainable contributions to the provincial budget. As a result, Bac Ninh will continue to strengthen its role as a key industrial hub while enhancing its competitiveness at both regional and international levels.

What significance does the groundbreaking of the project in August 2025, shortly after the administrative boundary consolidation of Bac Ninh province (July 1, 2025), hold for project implementation progress and investor attraction strategy?

The commencement of construction immediately after the administrative boundary consolidation of Bac Ninh province (July 1, 2025) reflects a long-term vision and strong development determination, while affirming consistency in planning and long-term orientation, opening a new phase of development for the locality.

In the context of a stabilized administrative system, the project’s implementation helps strengthen investor confidence in a transparent and consistent legal environment after the consolidation. This is an important factor contributing to the attractiveness and reliability of the investment climate.

The timing of the groundbreaking also reflects readiness in land availability and infrastructure to accommodate large-scale industrial projects. The alignment between the project’s progress and the province’s development orientation enhances its appeal to both domestic and international investors.

Could you elaborate on the planning orientation and infrastructure investment of Song Mai-Nghia Trung Industrial Park, as well as the criteria for selecting target industries?

Song Mai-Nghia Trung Industrial Park is oriented toward development as a model industrial park, combining modern technology with green development standards. In terms of infrastructure planning, the internal transport system is designed in sync with a main road 34 meters wide, ensuring convenient circulation for heavy-load vehicles while improving safety and aesthetics. In addition, a 3.23-hectare parking area is arranged to support logistics, warehousing, and distribution center operations.

Technical infrastructure is comprehensively invested, with stable power supplied from the 110kV Song Mai substation with a capacity of 2x63MVA. The clean water supply system has a capacity of 9,800 cubic meters per day, along with a wastewater treatment plant that can be upgraded to 20,000 cubic meters per day, meeting environmental and sustainable development requirements. At the same time, smart telecommunications and fire prevention and fighting systems meeting national standards are being implemented, ensuring safety and operational continuity.

Regarding investment attraction orientation, the industrial park prioritizes high value-added and environmentally friendly industries such as electrical and electronics, precision engineering, supporting industries, logistics, warehousing, distribution centers, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, food and beverage processing, and automobile and parts manufacturing. These sectors align with green development goals while enhancing competitiveness and supporting sustainable growth for the region.

To ensure the completion of infrastructure and readiness to welcome investors in the 2026-2028 period, what specific solutions is the company implementing, particularly in site clearance and infrastructure construction?

To be ready to welcome the investment wave in 2026, we are decisively implementing a “three-pillar” solution framework:

Rapid site clearance: Close coordination with authorities based on transparency and openness to build strong public consensus, ensuring clean land availability in line with the schedule.

Phased construction and technology application: The investor is concentrating resources on completing internal transport systems, power supply, water supply and drainage, and standard-compliant wastewater treatment. Through the application of modern management technologies in quality supervision and the optimization of acceptance and handover processes, we are committed to putting the project into operation in the shortest possible time, enabling investors to quickly commence production and optimize initial investment costs.

Strategic partnerships: We prioritize establishing partnerships with leading reputable contractors and using environmentally friendly materials to build a green industrial park from the outset.

In response to increasingly stringent environmental and sustainability requirements, what standards and solutions are applied in the design and operation of Song Mai-Nghia Trung Industrial Park to meet these criteria?

At Song Mai-Nghia Trung Industrial Park, economic benefits are pursued in parallel with environmental responsibility, aiming to build a green industrial ecosystem where technology and nature are balanced and mutually supportive.

First, the centralized wastewater treatment plant is invested with advanced AO (Anoxic - Oxic) technology, using continuously suspended activated sludge to effectively treat organic compounds and nitrogen, while adapting well to fluctuations in flow and pollutant concentration. As a result, treated wastewater consistently meets national standards, even when factories operate at high capacity.

In addition, a specialized odor treatment system is deployed to control and reduce negative impacts on air quality, setting the park apart from many traditional industrial zones, thereby ensuring a clean working environment for both employees and surrounding areas.

The project is also planned with a multi-layered green landscape system, forming a “green lung” surrounding the industrial park, helping reduce noise, limit dust, and create an ecological space that harmonizes grass, trees, and water surfaces.

Alongside environmental solutions, the industrial park operates under international standards such as ISO, combined with energy-saving programs and encouragement of renewable energy use, ensuring sustainable development aligned with ESG standards that international investors increasingly prioritize.
