Recently, at the headquarters of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), VCCI Vice President Nguyen Quang Vinh met with a Turkish Airlines delegation led by Dinçer Sayıcı, the airline’s General Manager in Vietnam, to discuss cooperation opportunities.
At the meeting, Dinçer Sayıcı said Turkish Airlines was actively pursuing plans to expand its presence in Vietnam. The airline hoped to partner with Vietnam Airlines to establish a joint-venture cargo airline headquartered in Hanoi next year. Turkish Airlines also expressed interest in formalizing its cooperation with VCCI through a memorandum of understanding (MOU). It proposed preferential airfares for VCCI staff and business delegations traveling overseas on VCCI-organized trips. The airline also offered to support VCCI’s trade promotion events and seminars to strengthen ties with Vietnam’s business community.
Recognizing Turkish Airlines’ strong market position and extensive international flight network, VCCI Vice President Nguyen Quang Vinh welcomed the airline’s cooperation proposals. He said VCCI represents more than 200,000 businesses and over 100 industry associations nationwide and maintains extensive partnerships with international chambers of commerce and business associations.
Both sides agreed to have their respective technical teams discuss the cooperation terms in detail to finalize the MOU draft and develop specific action plans for implementation in the near future.
