Japanese investors are in need of information about Vietnam’s stock market, said Ito Junichi, chief of the Viet. Jo Company’s
www.viet-kabu.com website. website.
Japanese investors are keen on investment in Vietnam shares, he said, citing that they are hunting for information about the market through websites about Vietnam’s stock market, especially those in Japanese language.
“They want more information about Vietnamese enterprises and their shares listed on the local bourses.”
Ito Junichi said that his company has introduced nearly 1,300 Japanese investors to Vietnam to open their trading accounts in the BIDV Securities Company (BSC).
Vietnam’s stock market is now the second investment destination for Japanese investors after China.
At present, only Japanese individual investors are interested in the Vietnamese market, he said, hoping that institutional investors will join the market soon.
Many Japanese want to invest in Vietnam but they still feel hesitant by virtue of insufficiently expected market information.
Viet. Jo is collecting information and then rendering into Japanese for Japanese investors.
“In the short term, we will boost cooperation with Vietnam’ securities companies to collect more information for investors,” Ito Junichi said. “We have signed a deal with the Royal Securities Company for such a purpose.”
Vietnam’s stock market will continue to grow in the future following its high economic growth, he said. Japanese investors, therefore, are looking to pump more capital into the market.
“We find out that information about Vietnamese businesses is limited for not only international investors but also local traders. But we hope the situation will be soon improved.”
Japanese investors specially prefer business engaged in infrastructure, finance, construction and consumer goods. (Securities Investment)
