In 1996, TransViet Travel was the first company in Vietnam to function as a general agent for airlines. The company also took part in marketing Vietnamese destinations, and selling tourism products and services for international travellers in Vietnam and Vietnamese travellers abroad. TransViet Travel is an authorised representative of the Amadeus global distributor system in Vietnam, which specialises in booking, vehicle-hiring and hotel reservation services. After more than 10 years, TransViet Travel is now the general agent for nine world airlines such as United Airlines, British Airways and Japan’s All Nippon Airways, or a third of international aviation firms in Vietnam.

To further contribute to tourism development, TransViet always seeks new partners to extend the airline network throughout the world and diversifies its tourism products and services. The company has opened inbound tours at preferential prices and attractive services, which draw the attention of both Vietnamese and international travellers. Especially, Vietnam has emerged as a good organiser of MICE tourism and TransViet has successfully organized MICE tourism for many groups and companies. In addition to inbound tourism, TransViet is also successful in outbound tours for Vietnamese travellers.

In July and August 2007, TransViet officially launched new business operations via the cooperation programme with Vietnam Aviation Institute to train booking staff, each course lasting three month. On August 2, 2007, TransViet officially opened the course for the first 20 trainees. This programme is expected to supply booking staff for the aviation industry.

TransViet Travel has increased product quality and service to meet client demand. TransViet Travel has gradually affirmed and consolidated its position in the aviation and tourism industry of Vietnam. The company expects to help Vietnam grow as a tourist destination.
