Citibank Joins Hand with Postal Savings Co to Provide Banking Services
Citibank Vietnam and Vietnam Postal Savings Service Company (VPSC) will cooperate in providing banking services for businesses and individuals in the country.
Under the deal signed on September 11, Citibank and VPSC will help postal saving service customers at 3,000 post offices of the Vietnamese firm nationwide to pay or transfer money from their accounts to enterprises that use the US bank’s accounts.
Citibank will also introduce an additional 800 desks to provide banking services in Vietnam, said Citibank Vietnam general director Charly Madan, adding that that figure should eventually increase to 2,400.
Nguyen Van Gam, director of VPSC, said Citibank establishes its payment network via VPSC will be a foundation for the two sides to provide new banking service in coming times.
Citibank has just got approval from the State Bank of Vietnam to provide goods prices swaps in Vietnam. (VnEconomy)
