Vietnam Top Catfish Exporter Okayed to Float on HOSE
Vinh Hoan JSC, one of Vietnam’s top catfish exporters, has got approval to list 30 million shares on Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HOSE), the market authority said October 19.
The Dong Thap-based firm that has a registered capital of VND300 billion become an exporter of pangasius and basa fish in 1997.
The firm shipped over 9,000 tons of catfishes worth US$29.2 million in the first six months, making it rank the third in value among 200 catfish exporters and the sixth in revenues among the whole seafood exporters.
It netted a profit VND60 billion and revenues of VND799 billion in January-June, its income statement showed.
Currently, Vinh Hoan share is being traded around VND80,000 each on the OTC market.
Four other seafood processors are seeking to list their shares on HOSE, including Ben Tre Forestry and Seafood Product Import Export JSC (Faquimex) with 15 million shares, Incomfish with new 11.8 million shares, Nam Viet JSC (Navico) with 66 million shares and Minh Phu Fisheries JSC that going to shift to the listing floor.
