Rubber Export Prices to China Rise
Export prices of Vietnamese rubber to China via Mong Cai border gate continue rising due to high demand from the exporter, the Vietnam News Agency reported.
The prices have risen by CNY500 (US$70.89) a ton to CNY19,700 (US$2,793), the highest level over the past 16 months.
Analysts said the prices will be on the rise in the coming months along with the soars of oil prices.
According to the Trade Information Center under Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade, Chinese companies want to import around 1,000 tons or 1,500 tons per day, but Vietnamese exporters are able to offer 700 tons or 800 tons.
The ministry said export prices of Vietnamese rubber are now averaging at US$2,271 a ton, up 27 per cent on year. (Vietnam & World Economy)
