Vinacafe Bien Hoa Nets Profit of VND108.3 Bln in 2007, up 80.8 per cent on year

Bien Hoa Coffee Joint Stock Company (Vinacafe), Vietnam's leading coffee producer, netted VND108.3 billion (US$6.8 million) in profit last year, up 80.8 per cent on year, bringing its earning per share to VND95,541, the Dau Tu Chung Khoan newspaper said.
 
The company netted revenues of VND619.4 billion (US$38.7 million), an on-year increase of 36.1 per cent.
 
The Dong Nai province-based firm, which was privatized in 2005, is now listed on the over-the-counter (OTC) market, with a registered capital of VND252.3 billion.
 
Vinacafe's coffee products account for over 50 per cent of the domestic market share, and over 90 per cent of total instant coffee export value of the country. The firm has exported products to 20 foreign markets such as the U.S., Japan, China, and Canada.
 
Bui Xuan Thoa, Vinacafe general director, said the firm's gross revenues rose 39 per cent in the first quarter. It will pay 2007 dividend at 38 per cent, with 13 per cent in cash and 25 per cent in shares.
 
Vinacafe shares were traded on OTC market at VND997,000 each on May 16 on 90,000 shares changed hands. (Securities Investment)
