128 Firms to Attend Vietfish 2008 in HCMCity
More than 128 seafood companies from Vietnam and foreign countries have registered to participate in the annual Vietnam Fisheries International Exhibition, or Vietfish, slated to take place in Ho Chi Minh City from June 12 to 14.
The fair will not only good opportunity for Vietnamese companies to seek partners but also for Vietnamese fisheries industry to promote sales abroad, the newspaper said.
Some five workshops will be arranged during the fair to discuss ways for fisheries development.
The Vietfish 2007 attracted the participation of 138 domestic and foreign seafood businesses, including participants from China, the Netherlands, Norway, India, Spain, Singapore, Thailand and Britain.
Vietnam was estimated to export US$1.48 billion worth of seafood in the first five months of 2008, up 11.6 per cent on year. (Vietnam & World Economy)
