Second Vietnam Economic Forum Attracts 500 Delegates

The 2nd Vietnam Economic Forum (VEF) will take place in Hanoi Sept 19-20 with participation of 500 delegates, with one third coming from abroad.
 
The forum, with the theme “Maintaining economic growth,” will focus on development of infrastructure, human resources and financial market.
 
Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Sinh Hung will attend the forum and deliver an opening speech.
 
Vietnamese senior leaders, international policymakers, and CEOs from regional financial institutions will discuss policies to help Vietnam overcome difficulties caused by the global economic slowdown and maintain a long-term and sustainable growth, as well as outlook for the harmony development in Asia.
 
The 2nd VEF is jointly organized by the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Vietnam News Agency, the Asia News Network and other agencies.
 
The first forum was held in Ho Chi Minh City in Sept 2007, which lured a lot of domestic and foreign economic experts and investors.
 
Vietnam Economic Forum is part of the national target program to promote foreign investment. (News, Vietnam & World Economy)
