Hanoi Licenses US$18 Bln 1,400 Projects So Far This Year

Vietnam’s capital city of Hanoi has licensed 1,400 FDI projects with the registered capital of US$18 billion so far this year, jumping to the third behind Ho Chi Minh City and Ba Ria-Vung Tau, the police-run Cong An Nhan Dan newspaper said.
 
Vice Mayor of the city, Nguyen Huy Tuong said the city is calling for investment for banking, financial, urban, high-tech, electronic, construction materials, pharmacy, apparel, produce processing and establishment of high-tech zones.
 
Currently, the city has 1,394 valid FDI projects totaling US$6.2 billion, the newspaper said. (www.cand.com.vn))
