Holland Firm to Build US$87 Mln Econ-tourism Resort in Central Vietnam
The Netherlands-based La Pera Hoi An Dien Ban has got a license to build a US$87 million eco-tourism resort in central Vietnam province of Quang Nam.
The La Perla Hoi An Resort III will cover total area of 22.6 hectares. It will include hotels, tourist sites, villas, bungalows, conference hall and other entertainment facilities.
As planned, the facility will be put into operation in 2011.
Hoi An is now home to around 1,000 ancient houses, and 16 tourist transport companies with a total of 65 four to 45-seat cars, 24 cruise ships and ten high-speed boats.
The town, which was a well preserved Southeast Asian trading port from the 15th to the 19th centuries, was declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1999.
Hoi An expects to receive 3.8 million tourists annually by 2015 with nearly half of the figure being foreigners. (Investment)
