Vietnam Ministries of Construction and Finance are working on a plan to build a Casino complex worth around US$5 billion on Phu Quoc Island.

The Casino complex is designed to cover an area of 100 hectares.

Ten investors have registered to invest in the project, the source added.

The ministry will gather ideas from relevant agencies for the plan and will submit it to Prime Minister for approval.

With its 150 kilometers of coast, Phu Quoc aims to become a high class resort island with the capacity to accommodate three million tourists a year by 2020, according to a plan approved by the government last year. (Labor)
