Vietnam Jan-Nov Exports to Taiwan Drop 23% to US$1B
Vietnam’s exports to Taiwan dropped 23% from a year earlier to US$1 billion in the first eleven months of 2009, the Ministry of Industry and Trade said.
In November, the country exported US$102 million worth of goods to Taiwan, down 11.7% on-year.
During the eleven-month period, apparel, seafood and rice were Vietnam’s key exports with respective figures of US$199.24 million, down 24%, US$91.9 million, down 14.6% and US$78.93 million, up 675.4% on-year.
The two-way trade stood at US$9.7 billion in 2008, including Vietnam’s trade deficit of US$6.9 billion. (vinanet)
