Vietnam-Switzerland Trade Soars 20% to US$3B in 2009
Trade between Vietnam and Switzerland surged 20% from a year earlier to US$3 billion in 2009 despite the global economic downturn.
The figure was released during a meeting between Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and Swiss President Doris Leuthard in Davos on Jan. 28.
Vietnam exports gemstones and precious metals, coffee, seafood and footwear to the European country while buying machinery and equipment, pharmaceutical products, insecticide and materials. (vietnamplus)
