Vietnam Forecast to Disburse US$12B in ODA in 2011-2015: MPI

Vietnam is forecast to disburse between US$10 billion and US$12 billion in official development assistance (ODA) in 2011-2015 period, the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI) said in a draft socio-economic development for the period.
 
The country targets to disburse US$3.5 billion in ODA in 2010 against US$3.6 billion last year, the MPI said. 
 
At the CG Meeting held in Hanoi on December 3-4, 2009, foreign donors pledged a record of US$8.063 billion in aid for the Southeast Asian country in 2010.
 
The Southeast Asian country disbursed US$9.81 billion in ODA between 2006 and 2009, accounting for 41% of total pledged ODA and 60% of the signed ODA in the period. (VIR)
