BIDV Enhances Social Activities

In a programme to assist poor people in the spirit of Government Resolution 30A, a youth group representing the Steering Committee for the Northwest Region, the Northwest Security Bureau and the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) launched the “Return to the Origin” programme in 2010. This event recently took place in Ky Son and Dien Chau districts of Nghe An province.
 
The group donated gifts to teachers and students at Dien Chau 2 Secondary School and presented houses to poor families in the mountainous district of Ky Son. The visitors also presented 15 PCs valued some VND50 million in total and 1,000 notebooks for students in Dien Kim Secondary School in Dien Chau district.
 
Besides, the delegation presented two houses, valued VND15 million each, to two poor families in Ta Ka and Huu Lap communes in the mountainous district of Ky Son. BIDV will act as the patron unit for poverty stricken Ky Son district. Within two years (2009-2010), BIDV will finance up to VND32 billion to the district.
