Vietnam, China Customs Boost Ties

Customs officials of Vietnam and China have signed a deal to boost further ties in exchanging information, supporting mutually to exercise and reform customs producers and to fight drug smuggling, trade fraud.
 
The signing on June 15 was part of an ongoing Vietnam visit by Chinese Deputy Customs Chief Li Ke Nong.
 
The cooperative deal is very significant to facilitate bilateral trade, investment and tourism.
 
Deputy Custom Chief Li held talks with Vietnam’s Deputy Minister of Finance Do Hoang Anh Tuan on the same day on detailed fields under the deal.
 
Vietnam and China share a land borderline of 1,400 kilometers. The two countries officially completed the border demarcation and marker planting in February 2009.
 
Two-way trade is expected to hit US$25 billion this year from US$21.35 billion in 2009. (Vietnam Economic Times)
