HCM Tourism Expected to Beat Plan

According to the Ho Chi Minh Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism, Ho Chi Minh City expected to welcome 250,000 international visitors in November and forecasts that it will receive about 3.1 million international visitors in 2010.
 
The number of international visitors to the city during November increased around 38 percent over the same period in 2009. Since the beginning of this year, the city has welcomed about 2.85 million foreign arrivals, up 22 percent over the same period, and reached 102 percent of the 2010 plan.
 
Under the plan, Ho Chi Minh Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will coordinate with the Vietnam Aviation Corporation to welcome the 3 millionth visitor at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in December.
